Criteria for Eligibility

Interested male and female individuals with a Matriculation with Science may apply for this position. Only persons between the ages of 17 and 21 are eligible to apply for this position.

Details about the POF Artisan Training Scheme

According to the requirements of the Apprentices Ordinance 1962, the selected applicants would get 18 months of training at the Pakistan Ordinance Factories Institute of Technology (POFIT) at Wah Cantt.

Selected individuals will also get a monthly stipend. The monthly stipend is also mentioned in full on the POF website. During the training, the craftsmen will be given with complimentary uniforms and stationery. The Apprenticeship Rule 1966 states that the employer is not required to provide the apprentice a job. However, according to the POF criteria, a restricted number of successful top apprentices can be put on merit in BPS-5 (Skilled Workman). A provincial quota for immigrants will also be implemented.
