The National Highways and Motorway Police, or NHMP, is a Pakistani police unit tasked with enforcing traffic laws, providing safety instructions, and ensuring road safety, among other responsibilities. The motorway police were established in 1997 after the construction of Pakistan's highway network, and they currently patrol the highways as well.

The national highway and motorway police are equipped with cutting-edge technology to enforce traffic laws, and the e-challan system was recently launched by the police. The national highway and motorway network is separated into seven zones for policing purposes, each led by a DIG and overseen by three more IGPs. SSPs and SPs lead each Zone, which is divided into many "sectors." Each sector is broken into "beats," each of which is directed by a DSP.
